Children and Christmas
Christmas Centerpieces, Christmas trees, holiday decorations, family reunions, Christmas carols, and mistletoes are only some of the things that remind us of Christmas. Christmas is not only for adults to party and to celebrate. It is also for children. In fact, children are the ones that are the focus of the merriment as Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. The tradition of giving gifts especially to children is symbolic of the three wise men who traveled far to bring gifts to the holy child.
It is quite a good feeling to bring happiness to children especially during the Christmas season. Many home and store owners put up Christmas decorations and festive lights in their lawns and premises. These holiday decorations and lights amaze people of all ages especially children. Adults may also remember how excited and happy they were when they were little and when they used to watch the twinkling Christmas lights and lighted decorations of the neighbors’ houses from their own home’s windows.
Watching the lights illuminating the colorful decorations somehow make us forget all the worries and problems associated with our daily struggle against life. To children, these sights bring forth a wonderful feeling that can compare to the feeling of seeing magic unfolds before you.
